Coffee Cake

Ingredients

1 cup of wheat flour (high quality, Zernovita)

3/4 cup of sugar

1/3 cup of milk

2 chicken eggs

0.275 lbs (125 g) of butter

2 tablespoons of instant coffee

1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar

1 teaspoon of baking powder

1/4 teaspoon of salt

Cooking:

Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Add the instant coffee, brew it, and remove it from the heat to cool.

Sift the high-quality wheat flour, add the baking powder, sugar, and salt, mix well, and gradually add to the milk with coffee, stirring constantly.

Beat the chicken eggs to a smooth consistency, add to the dough, and mix well. Alternatively, you can add the eggs one at a time and mix thoroughly.

To soften the butter, remove it from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature. Add the butter and vanilla sugar to the dough and mix well.

If desired, you can add a bit of ground cinnamon.

Grease the baking pan (it’s better to choose a deep and narrow one) with butter, sprinkle with a little flour, and pour in the coffee batter.

Place in a preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes at 180°C (350°F).

Once the cake is ready, you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
