Unpolished Rice with Seafood
Ingredients
0.66 lbs (300 g) unpolished rice (Zernovita brand)
0.88 lbs (400 g) seafood (shrimp, squid, scallops, etc.)
2 onions
1 carrot
Olive oil (for frying)
1 cup (250 ml) boiling water
Salt, pepper
Soy sauce
Cooking:
Dice the onions and cut the carrot into strips (this way, the carrot will retain its taste and nutritional properties).
Heat olive oil in a cauldron and add the vegetables. Fry them until golden.
Add the seafood to the vegetables, then season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce to taste. Fry for 5-7 minutes until a pleasant aroma develops.
Rinse the rice, dry it with a towel, and add it to the cauldron. Pour in the boiling water. If the seafood released a lot of juice, you can reduce the amount of water.
Cover the cauldron with a lid, do not open it or stir for 30 minutes. During this time, the rice will cook to a semi-ready stage.
Afterward, stir in and optionally add an apple, cut into rings. Cover the cauldron and leave it on low heat for another 15 minutes.
Serve the dish on plates and invite your family to enjoy a delicious dinner.
